At Least They Have A Sense Of Humor!

Perhaps someone should have told Sen. Kerry that he doesn't have the privilege to revise his public comments that he is afforded in the Senate. The Senator was supposedly speaking about education. Then he opened his mouth and inserted his foot. Whether he was insulting America's finest or botching a joke about the President (as he claimed later), he didn't look that smart. At first he was indignant and not about to apologize. But when several Democrats called for him to apologize he relented and finally did apologize. Sort of. He basically said he was sorry that others 'misinterpreted' his comments. I think that Democratic Rep. Harold Ford Jr., running for the Senate in Tennessee, had it right when he said "Whatever the intent, Senator Kerry was wrong to say what he said.'

Maybe Sen. Kerry should use this photo in his campaign literature if he decides to run for President in 2008.
