Campaign Office

I will share an office in Downtown Naperville for this election. It is at 117 Water St., next to the Riverwalk. It is a shared office with the Naperville and Lisle Township Republican Organizations. Jim Healy, Michael Connelly, and Gerry Cassioppi will also have offices here. Darlene Senger's office is just a couple of doors to the west. This will be a one stop shop for all things Republican for this election season. We will have a Grand Opening Saturday, August 16 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Stop on by!

Here Is Your Chance

Now that you've explored the Internet about Raffi's on Fifth, here is your chance to try out some of the food. On Tuesday, August 19 from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. (tentatively), I will be having a fund-raiser for this year's campaign. Details to follow soon.

Eat At Raffi's

One of my Rotary friends owns and runs 'Raffi's on Fifth' in the historic Fifth Avenue Station. Generally, it is a Mediterranean-style menu. Everything I have ever eaten here is top notch. His lamb chops are out of this world!

Raffi's restaurant was featured on a recent Check Please episode. Make a reservation at Raffi's on Fifth, you will not be disappointed.

A Nice New Republican Website

The Dupage Republican's have just put up a nice new website. Much better and informative than the previous one. More informative than the local Democrat's one, but perhaps I am biased. Check it out! Website

About Those Sandhill Cranes

The District's Sandhill Cranes are now in the new display enclosure. We released them without much fanfare to be sure they had the opportunity to feel comfortable in their new digs before we brought crowds to see them. I am not an expert ornithologists, but it seemed to me that they adapted pretty well from the get-go. They are housed at the back of the preserve. To find them, walk through our animal display and take the path that exits next to the peregrine falcon cage. Follow the path around to the right. As you walk by the marsh and follow the path back to the left, the cage will be on your right. We will have a grand opening sometime in August.
