What Do You Think?

It has been a while since I've written about the barn at Greene Valley F.P. I will be writing about it quite a bit more in the coming days. We are moving ahead at government speed (another lap and we might overtake that snail up ahead.) But on Tuesday next we will start the process of taking community comments and putting some form to the end result. Bill Greene's intention was to have his farm and especially the house and barn, as a public facility. Right in the Real Estate Sale Contract he left it open to how we use it, but 'It is assumed, however, that the Forest Preserve will be using the property for cultural, educational, historical and recreational activities for the public benefit and appropriate to the general purposes of the Forest Preserve.'

So your assignment is to opine about what you think would be a good use of the barn, whether it is an indoor archery range, a nature center, a place for barn dances, meeting spaces, etc. We have to fill up nearly 14,000 sq. ft. of a high reach dairy barn. Just hit the comment link below and have at it.

Thanks for your help in advance.
