Dunham Forest Preserve

If you have been to the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County's website recently, you may have noticed the Dunham Forest Preserve Conceptual Master Plan. If you have a few minutes you might want to check out the 11 page document. It provides all sorts of information from the history of the site to the vision the District has for what it can become.

Some features include a parking lot adjacent to a property owned by Wayne where they will move the historic railroad station. The lot will help provide additional parking for the rr museum and provide a trail head into the preserve. A gravel trail will proceed south of the lot to Braemore Dr. and Cornerstone Lakes Park. A pedestrian/equestrian trail will circle the preserve through various restoration areas. Ultimately, it should be a very peaceful preserve.

Now we just have to see how much it will cost.
