October Events

October has some fun events at the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County. The annual Danada Fall Festival will be on Sunday, Oct. 14 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Danada Equestrian Center in Wheaton. There are many equestrian activities to see and do. In addition, at the Danada House there will be a Nature Art and Photo Show. This event is free with nominal fees for some activities and food.

This year the Halloween Night Walks will be Friday, Oct. 26 through Sunday, Oct. 28 between 6 and 9 p.m. at the Fullersburg Woods Nature Education Center in Oak Brook. You will enjoy interesting skits that teach you a little about nature. Tickets, which are $8 each, must be purchased in person in advance at the Fullersburg Woods Nature Education Center.
